BMI out of Dullas...is this good for me???

I just saw in the Wash Post that BMI will begin flights to Europe in June. I am not much of a world traveler and know nothing about BMI but I do like to get over to AMS 2 or 3 times a year. Will having BMI be good news for me? Is it likely that I can take them to AMS or just to London? Do they tend to be a bit? or a lot cheaper? than UA...NWA...etc.

Thanks

Hi,

The bmi flights from IAD(Dulles)-MAN ( Manchester) are the resumption of the flight which was cancelled over the winter period.( Codeshare with UA)
Bmi do not fly from IAD/ORD to LHR currently due to the Bermuda II restictions I think but they have frequent MAN-LHR service.
I do not think bmi offer a direct MAN-AMS flight currently so you would either hve to fly with bmi to LHR then to AMS or switch airlines at MAN ( BA i think).
The transatlantic bmi service is supposed to be very good ( I have not flown the route myself)
If time is of the essence then maybe the direct IAD-AMS flight would be better.
Regards
TBS
