Question on the UK Status match
First of all, I know I should be posting this elsewhere, but I have seen so much written on this subject in this forum, I am going to hazard a guess that this is where the real experts hang out!
I received the email offering me the *G/*S status match. I already have a Mileage Plus account, (non-elite) and a I am gold in KLM's Flying Dutchman (the result of a comp). I registered, and faxed my recent statement which shows I am gold, albeit with no flight activity.
Will I receive a *S or *G?
Many thanks in advance for your answers.

As far as I am aware, you should get *G. (I've seen nothing which contradicts this).
I'd actually be interested to know how you get on. I also have a "pointless" Flying Dutchman Gold, and was considering getting a Star comp. (Can I do this even though I'm already BD*G and LH*G?)

According to the terms and conditions: "Star Alliance Gold or Star Alliance Silver customers cannot earn status in another Star Alliance frequent flyer programme", so the official answer is no. but I cannot see how this could be traced if you applied to a third *A airline to which you do not currently belong.

Therefore if you are going to do the status match I would use a different address to your current memberships.
