Iv enjoyed a good few threads on this forum over the last couple of years and am sad to see it being wound down.

First it was 236 ticket stock, then BD flight numbers, now forum 486 - all the cornerstones of my travel life being dismantled
Still, I flew to TFS on G-DBCF the other day - it still had a bright blue bmi cabin control panel in the forward galley. It's the little things...
Will miss the folk on this forum

Goodbye BMI forum and thanks everyone.
It's worth point out that BMI might have disappeared as an airline, but it's still alive as Diamond Club via the MBNA credit card. It seems to be disproving the saying that all (ok, nearly all) good things must come to an end...

Bit late at this stage I suppose, although in the circumstances perhaps the toilet doors might now be more appropriate ...

The first real help I got from the BD community was with my first ever redemption - EDI-LHR-SIN in SQ F. Alas, BD forgot to ticket it as I discovered when I tried to book the cook two days before flying. To add to the spice, it was New Year's Eve when I made the discovery and was due to leave EDI early on 2 January. Fortunately, the BD members here coached me on how to get it resolved and two days later I was sitting in the nose of a Jumbo Jet with a glass of Krug.

So long, and thanks for the cash & miles, The Economist, Bento Boxes, the very good and very bad operators in the call centre and plenty of craic on this board. It is New Year's Eve and I am drinking cheap champagne to show that, while we may have been adsorbed into BAEC, I am not ready to become one of them yet.
I really thing Joanna should make a reappearance for the final post.
