Bye bye Baby
Not even slightly OT considering its owned by IAG, but today is the last day of operations at BMI Baby.
Several tribute videos have been posted on youtube including this one
Id like to wish the crews and staff in generall at BMI Baby all the very best for the future, I very much hope that they all find future employment

My commiseration to the staff as losing your job is never a nice thing but, on the basis of my personal experience of bmibaby, I will most definitely not miss an airline with a tendency to behave like a cowboy outfit and out-Ryanair Ryanair.

My only ever experience of bmi baby was of a shambolic outfit of lunatics who had no means of dealing with customers and contravened every EU regulation.
To be dealt with in such contempt ensured I never flew with them ever again.
To them I say - good riddance.

Not completely serious.
But, I did wonder why you choose to start a tribute thread in the British Airways forum and yet there is no mention at all of the passing in the dedicated BMI forum.
I thought you must have considered this yourself anyway as you opened the thread justifying that it is OnTopic.

Simply because I'm not really that familiar with the bmi forum, and there is no IAG forum. Plus also, the bmi forum isn't exactly all that active now
But there has been talk about the aircraft possibly transferring to BA at gatters. Something which now doesn't look like is happening.
At the end of the day, currently bmi baby is owned by IAG who also own BA, and today will see lots more people employed in aviation out of jobs, just thought it worthy of a thread on the BA forum.

I think I flew with them once … or was it BMI Daddy? Only an hour or so, UK Domestic, so it really had little impact on me at all.
However, I will offer my best wishes to the people.
