Sounds nice.
I hope the awardchart of DC won`t change and we can redeem for BA flights.

Realistically, it could not really be more than that, could it?

DC Gold to BA Gold is pretty generous too.
Yes. From a purely selfish perspective, I would have preferred more generosity on avios and less on status but that is mroe than fair enough.

I think that is pushing it too far!

And no mention of doing anything for current lifetime golds or those in the works.

Of course such a brief letter doesn't have the space to go into all the details, so perhaps we'll be surprised once the complete details are released.
I would not expect anything on either of these fronts, to be honest.

True... But 1:1 makes up for that a bit for me. I am well over the 55k this year and dont expire until august but can cope...

Now maybe I should cancel the points I spent yesterday and get more Avios...

Does this mean that the Avios -> Diamond Club transfers only become possible from July? Or are the transfers possible from May and only the online tool becomes accessible from July?

Initial brief thoughts - very positive and BA have done right by members. The ability to switch Avios to Diamond Club is a surprise, but one that could suit some current Avios horders.

Overall ^ from me.

I'm most pleased with this. I recently lost my OneWorld Sapphire due to Malev going under and will now have my BD Silver transfer to BA Silver (OW Sapphire). Awesome.

1:1 Avois. That's almost acceptable.

Good work on the lounges too. This takeover has become a lot more palette-able.

Good work BA on swooning members - you've done well

I guess the next reasonable thing to expect is Star alliance announcement on comp for BD *G members who is willing to stay with Alliance

Keeley Downing, Diamond Club Manager, has asked me to relay to FT members that Diamond Club won't be available to respond to our queries and concerns until Monday.

Indeed - I'm a >55k from last year but TBH am just happy to be given Gold and 1:1 conversion. I think it would be a nice gesture to offer more to LT BD*Gs, but guess they might hear something individually given their small number. Given the TPs required for BA Gold >55k isn't really that special (am sure there will be a bit of displeasure on the BA forums as to how full the F lounges will be now )

I have to say a pretty fair offer from BA and kudos to them for doing so.
