New TG route (BRU-BKK) not showing on ANA...

Hi,

TG have begun selling seats on their new service from BKK-BRU but I can't see them in the ANA redemption availability charts. Does anyone know when these flights might show up on ANA?

Cheers!

TG don't exactly have a great track record in actually starting up new routes that they announce.

I'd wait until they actually start selling tickets and the first aircraft lands in BRU

But the tickets ARE already for sale on their website. That's why I'm curious to know when availability might be searchable on ANA...

I would expect maybe 2-3 weeks for ANA to pick upon those. Maybe longer as I'm just guessing here. Only reference I have is changes to equipment on already operated routes sometimes took a few weeks to reflect fully.

They've just appeared on ANA. Another useful TG option on the kangaroo route with award availability and good connection with the PM flight from SYD.
:p

Very useful option. ^ What date does it start ?

Very ironic, posting that in the BD forum, eh ? :D

From mid November.

Great connections from SYD-BKK-BRU-MAN. Just what I've been holding out for!

And yes, it looks like a very convenient set of timings for those flights. A good option.

On the upside, finally a connection to Asia that I can use the (BD operated) BRS-BRU route on. (Previously they all involved BRS-BRU-ZRH/FRA/MUC/CPH-XXX). This is good.

On the downside - a 5 hour connection at BRU on the outbound. This is not unusual on the BRS-BRU flight, which seems to be exquisitely not-well-timed.

I might try a redemp booking to SYD/BNE/MEL around November.

Good God, even the timings sort of work for EMA-BRU

For those interested, TG also launched 3x weekly CPH-HKT direct recently. Is only one way though, the return is via BKK.

For anyone not monitoring the "successful redemptions" thread, I booked a BRU-BKK flight yesterday via the ICC with no difficulty. Plenty of availability when I was checking beforehand, flying in late December with a connection to SYD.

tax variance?

how are the taxes on a BRU-BKK or MAN-BRU-BKK compared to LHR-BKK in biz or first??

BA6501 Jul 15, 2011 9:35 am

MAN-BRU-BKK, if anything, would be more expensive than LHR-BKK.

dsf Jul 15, 2011 12:22 pm

For my itinerary (BRU-BKK-SYD-AKL-APW) I am paying just over £200pp less, according to ITA, than if I had started in LHR.
