Advice Needed Please
 

Hi all

I have been a lurker on this site for a number of years and and I have found it and all of you very useful.

I have attempted to use the redemption taxes calculator to check one of my questions myself - but I still need all you guy's expertise please.....

I have acheived the near impossible of getting a redemption thrrough ICC, but two things are concerning me about this redemption.
1) Last year when I also got the redemption tickets I was after the youg man was able to issue the tickets immediately and the ticket number was visible on Amadeus. Today I was told this would take 48hrs and whilst I can see the trip on check my trip - I am nervous that the tickets might get cancelled given some of the stories I have seen on here.

2) Routing was as follows:
O/B - MAN - MUC (LH), MUC - BKK (TG), BKK- SIN (SQ) in Business
I/B - SIN - BKK (TG), BKK LHR (TG) - in Business
The taxes were £515.80 each (!)
I have checked using "little voices" fare calculator with both tirps in as single trips and the taxes on that are considerably lower.
How do I go about
a) confirming the tickets are issued
b) Querying the taxes

Apologies now if this should go in an existing thread....

Difficult to see how the taxes could be 'significantly' lower, given the UK APD and the German departure tax. £515 seems reasonable, unfortunately, in todays market.

Manchester - BKK alone is £318.50 in taxes, looking at a dummy one-way in J on Expedia. That only leaves £200 to split between the other 3 legs.
