Redemption within Zone 2
I need some clarification regarding redemption within Zone 1 or Zone 2.
If I have a flight from Lisbon to Athens and can use TAP of Aegean non-stop, it's 20,000 miles. But If I use Swiss or LH or any other *A airline with a connection it's only 7,500 miles, or 11,250 for a business club ticket. It seems like a great deal or am I missing something. LA2CDG |

The extra 7500 is always bad for us, never good... it gets especially bad if you try to redeem for F with a connection (then you get to pay 2.5 x 7500 but fly in J) and it also pains greatly when you're forced to have multiple stopover due to no direct connections.. :td::td:

Are there any intra-European F route where that result would occur (since the 7.5K connection fee only arises when the whole itinerary is within Europe)?
(or has F gone from that route now?) |

And potentially the eastern Russia routings.

I haven't seen an F bird to LHR for some time now.
I had not thought about these but, frankly, I doubt cannot see how anybody could credibly complain about the intra-European surcharge on these routes. |
