Depending when, I might make it along.... (there's a reason not to set a date now! )

Isn't it 'make your mind up time' now ? Who's going to pick the date from the tombola ?

Hmm. Well if it was a BMI tombola, obviously, you'd have the choice of:
  • Flexible Tombola: You can change the dates as you like and get served a drink too. You also get you tickets moved to the front to be counted.
  • Tombola Extra! You get your tickets drawn after the Flexible Tombola people, but don't go crying when you need to change the dates. We'll relive you of some extra cash.
  • Economy Tomobla: Your date is selected for you
  • Star Gold Tomoblas of course can board at any time

Given it's a General Election today, not Stormont and PR, it's only fitting that the first, or not, past the post rule should be in play. I'm quite happy with the current, if slender, leader, 25 June. Do the "I's" have it?

Well, you know we used to be fond of matches round these parts!

Is that an "I"?

Probably doesn't affect most of you, just thought I'd mention:

Not quite sure what is going on in Belfast around this time period but for some reason there are no BD award seats available between Belfast-London from the 22nd June to 3rd of July. Getting out there isn't a problem as there are plenty of outbound seats.

(I guess I'll have to try revenue management or actually pay for a flight!)

It's the start of the NI summer school holidays. Although it's officially the 30th, as with anywhere, the exodus starts earlier.

Unfortuntely, I'll be in Riyadh on that Friday, so drinks that date would be hard to come by... so I'll add 1 to Friday 25th.

And the Hilton Belfast is offering a very resonable £69, which surprised me as rate can often be well in to three figures. ^

We have a very clear winner - Friday 25th of June.

Locals may decide where we're going, what we're doing.

Ok, I'm in.

Better see which airlines are best served... could BMI (Baby and Mainline) actually be in contention for once?

Having never visited the 'fair' city of Belfast and sitting on a mile of miles waiting to be spent I'm highly tempted.

Current thoughts are the Belfast Hilton and getting the BD88/90 from LHR if anyone is travelling (though could depart MAN/EDI/GLA easily enough) or is everyone else local?

FOM - are you bringing the ash bucket or do I have to locate my own (Being based out of EDI atm I guess it won't be too difficult to find some in the next month...)

Edit: Hmm, looking at the Hilton I see they are offering a B&B rate for an extra £1.50 (Great Getaway, rate PGGG01 which is included in the 4for1 freebies)... any idea if their treatment of Diamonds extends to free breakfast in the hotel restaurant or is it lounge only? (£1.50 for a full buffet seems like a good deal!)

Sorry, will miss the 25th as I will be in LAX and PHX, beginning of June different place in Norway. Maybe next time, I hope.

I would appreciate some feedback on how to get award flights to USA.

A trip on the Duck might be an idea!
