For me it shows when logged in [and goes to that page], and it shows in drop-down menu when logged out - but doesn't go to the page, it asks me to log in.

I don't see it in any browser, logged in or logged out. The old https:// vs. http:// makes no difference either.

I have some 1500 orphaned miles in M&M account - was wondering what to do with them - now I think I might know soon

edit: I am still logging in fine

Let's see.

Reasons to move:
1. You get M&M status, possibly until February 2013 (M&M status runs for 2 years from the following February after you earn it) - obviously if you already have LH status or have no BMI status this one doesn't apply
2. This might be your only chance to move, with the risk BMI is sold to a non-aligned airline or Skyteam!
3. A few more miles on some European short-hauls
4. Chance to consolidate two FF accounts, assuming your balance in one is too small to do anything with
5. LH Sen's (Gold) can book a companion award on the same flight for a 50% discount, so an overall 25% saving if 2 travel

Reasons not to move:
1. Keep Cash & Miles
2. Keep one-way redemptions without a stupid premium
3. Cheaper redemption rates in general, massively cheaper for pan-Euro redemptions
3. Loss of the generous BMI Mastercard (if you still have one at 2 miles per Ł1)
4. Poorer Hilton / Europcar / Worldpoints / Radisson / Jurys etc earning rates
5. No option to transfer Amex MR points going forward
6. LH may offer you a bigger carrot to move at a later date
7. Substantially more difficult to earn status (100k for SEN) and slightly more difficult to retain it
8. Gold's will lose the bonus miles for 55k+ status miles
9. VERY aggressive miles expiry policy for M&M (3 years from the date you earn them, whatever your activity) unless you are FTL, SEN or an active credit card holder
10. No family accounts
11. BMI taxes tend to be lower for identical redemptions

Precisely the same for me. I just cannot see the M&M link anywhere at all, no matter what I do.

I don't think we're going to get the choice

I can still log in to my account. And sadly the status match is there.

So after 8 years of gold, my dreams of BD*LG are not to be. Oh well.... I never really thought DC would survive until my 10 year point anyway.
