How can I stop Lucy? (BW lurker please read)

I am a UK member and every couple of days (sometimes every day) I get an unsolicited mail from someone called Lucy who tells me for the second, third or upteenth time about the same offers for UK hotels.

Recently she even embarked on an alphabetical series 'A is for Afternoon tea - or some such - driving me crazy well before she reached P - Please get out of my life.

I have, of course, unsubsribed from these mails (other than rewards communications such as statements) many, many times and read, with increasing incredulity, that it may take seven days for this to take effect. I keep on unscubscribing but she won't take no for an answer.

The mails keep coming and coming. Today's reminds me that National Beer Day (which is not today, but was over a week ago) may be a distant memory, but not to worry, for that won't stop her writing to me. "It'll all end in beers" she says, before going on to say that you can that there are lots of Best Western Hotels near breweries (as well as vineyards or distilleries: Lucy doesn't want to discriminate against non-beer drinkers).

No doubt tomorrow, she'll be letting me know that three and a half weeks ago (on 27th May) it was the 238th anniversary of the passing of the Habaeus Corpus Act in Britain and that there are lots of Best Westerns near prisons and law courts (and, no doubt, also near lakes and the beach, for law courts don't appeal to everyone, even for such an auspicious celebration).

Please, please, will someone tell me how to stop her? I'm losing my sanity.

On twitter the handle BestWesternGB definitely gets you in touch with the UK office in York. They should be able to help you get it sorted.

Failing that [email protected] used to be picked up by York as well, I'm not sure if that's still the case though.
