Do I have to be BW Rewards member to get airine miles/points?

I was told a check-in today that I need to sign up for BW Rewards program to get Airline miles. In the past I just gave the check-in agent my FFP number and miles appeared.

I rarely stay at BW hotels so I have no intension of becoming a member if I can avoid it to get my airline miles. Thx

If it makes it easier to get your miles where all you do is provide your BWR number upon making the reservation or check-in, what is the harm in jsut becoming a member? You can turn off all emails and communications for that matter.

free night voucher use

Altough the biggest hotel chain BW rewards terms are sometimes confusing especially for those based outside NA.I have 2 questions if somebody could help would be appreciatted

1.BW Europe member-Can you use your points direct online booking or you need to order a free night voucher for the amount of points charged by hotel and than call BW to reserve your room?

2.Are those global free night vouchers transferable ?Is somebody else allowed to use the voucher and book the hotel under their name ?

Thank you

You can book it online. under special rate. select "Best Western Rewards Points"
and your room rate will appear in points instead of currency.

Yes free night vouchers are fully transferable and can be used at any best western hotel. Call 1-800-528-1234 or your local # from your country and tell them you want to book a room with free night voucher.

BRG Claim

Hi Vick407,

Do you know how long it is taking to get a Best Rate Guarantee claim addressed? I submitted two days ago and haven't heard a peep.

"Upon validation of a claim, a Customer Care Specialist will send an email or other
communication to the consumer, which will include the reservation confirmation number,
a file tracking number for the claim, and the new rate the consumer will be charged. If a
consumer does not receive a confirmation within forty-eight (48) hours of submitting the
claim, the consumer may contact the Customer Care Department by phone to check the
status of the claim."

I Would suggest calling 1-800-528-1238
