Fair enough. This thread was 4 years out of date too until yesterday.

Well, they tell us to not always start new threads but check for existing threads. And this one seemed to be very much on topic. :-)

I agree - it is a silly FT policy to not use old threads. I seen no reason why not if the info is still valid and relevant. Nut in this case, 8000 point BW hotel list from 2011 is hardly relevant or valid.

Points list for B/W hotels

Is there a list anywhere of the points or at least categories for all BW hotels? I am thinking of buying points, but would like to know how many are need for a specific hotel.
When I go to the hotel website it only give me an option for cash. Is that because I don't have enough points for that specific hotel? It doesn't even tell me what category the hotel is, or how many points to redeem a night.

When asking the Website for rates, click on 'BW Rewards Points' for the points prices.

just curious, what redemption rate do you guys like to see when booking with these points. I have an 8k/night double occupancy room in nashville that is 218.night AAA rate. Is that a decent rate to redeem at?
thanks

edit: I see 8k were hard to find, is that still the case now?

Not sure what rate people use, but yes, using 8000 points instead of paying US $218 is a fantastic deal.
I'm happy if I can use 20000 points for a US $150 room night.

Hotel Majestic Mexico City 8000 points

I'm taking advantage of AeroMexico US to Chile deal, need 1 night in downtown Zocalo area, this is one heck of a deal to burn only 8000 points. If I like it I'll return to MEX and book 4-5 nights here for my next holiday.

WOW! I've found some fantastic offers in Japan.
Best Western Plus Hotel Fino Osaka Kitahama = 5000 points on most days. All other hotels in Osaka are 5000 as well!
Best Western Tokyo Nishikasai = 8000-12000 points on most days [I've stayed in this hotel during my last trip to Tokyo and it was great. Got an upgrade to a spacious room]

I've just found the BW+ North Canton (Ohio) Inn & Suites with 1 King available for March 12 &or 13 @ 8K vs. a
BW Rewards Flexible Rate of $62.99 ++ = $72.75. For some strange reason, 2 Queen rooms cost 16K per night.

I've booked several times for a mere 5.000 points at Best Western Osaka Tsukamoto, and seen similar rates for other properties in the area.
