New E-Receipt Email Format
 

I returned a car last night like I do every week and was surprised to see an e-recipet waiting for me in my email inbox today. Maybe it is the fact that its been almost a year since I actually got one of these, but it looked different. More red, more tabs, better visibility, plus a plain text version that was actually legible.

Am I hallucinating or is this new?

Comparing a receipt from 2/16/07 to one that I got this morning: I'd have to say you're hallucinating, unless yours are different than mine. The format is identical, except my most recent one had a PDF included. I've been receiving them with the PDF, though, for about a year now.

I never got e-receipts at all until yesterday. The e-mail is sent immediately when the car is scanned in upon return; I felt my Blackberry vibrate as soon as I grabbed my luggage and walked away from the car!

I've always received e-receipts - but do agree, when I also returned this morning, felt my Treo ring and had the email sitting in my inbox - that was nice.

I started getting the receipts over a year ago; I wonder why some just started getting them now? I was also surprised the first time b/c I was on the bus back to the terminal checking email & noticed my first e-receipt. I couldn't believe it was that quick.
