Why No Multiple Credit Cards on Website
I cannot believe that the AVIS website will not allow for more than 1 credit card to be stored in your profile, that is just nuts.
So in order to have more than 1 credit card, 1 for personnel and 1 for business, they tell us we must have 2 wizard numbers with 2 separate accounts. Oh, and of course you are AVIS FIRST in one of the accounts and when you start off in the other account you are only Preferred.....thats nice too!:td: Anyone know why the AVIS website tech folks don't step up to the plate and solve the problem? If other organizations are able to allow for more than 1 credit card, why is this so difficult for AVIS to figure out? |
Also only one AWD number. I've posted about this before. It's incredibly frustrating.
For anyone from Avis who's listening: Scenario (again): Have a corp and personal credit card and AWD#. Not allowed to use the corp info except for business travel. Must use the corp #'s for business travel. If I change all the #'s and make a personal reservation, everything's good. If I change them back and make a business reservation, everything's good. But... if I don't change the AWD number in time (personal to business), the company travel agent sees the corp rate but my record gets the personal rate. Using the wizard number OVERRIDES all the info that the TA puts into the reservation. If I don't ensure that the correct credit card is in the record during the rental, the WRONG ONE gets charged. This is true even if you HAND THE CORRECT CARD to the agent at the counter. So far, I've managed to keep this straight and catch errors in time. I wonder what would happen if someone ever got fired over this... eg., TA books to the company AWD (including insurance, etc.) Business associate (authorized driver under the correct AWD) wrecks the car. Insurance denied due to unauthorized driver on personal AWD. When I spoke to Avis about this, I was told that their solution is to maintain two different wizard numbers, one for personal and one for business. I asked how they would be linked for tracking activity. I was told they wouldn't be, I'd need 12 rentals in EACH to have AvisFirst benefits apply. When I have the opportunity, I'm strongly suggesting that we change preferred rental providers. |
