Although it has 4k it looks like I'm the second renter as someone left their reciept on the back floor. Rented from Sydney NS in April with whopping 32 km on it and returned with 4046km.

Received: Ford Escape Titanium with 7 miles on the odometer.
Interestingly, I was not preassigned a car with Select-and-Go... and my name was not on the Preferred Board. I had to go to the Preferred Counter where I had a nice woman who asked me "is there any particular car you'd like?". When I told her to give me some options, she said, "how about an Altima?"... I pointed to an Escape on the lot and just said "how about that?". I've never had the auto assignment at EWR not work. Maybe they prefer to see their PC customers in person now?

Received: Infiniti FX37 w/31k on the ODO. This car is definitely at the end of it's life as a rental car. Lots of cosmetic damage and the interior is pretty worn out.

Requested: Convertible - Camaro preferred, no Mustangs (it's a nice weekend)
Received: Camaro Base Convertible w/ 25K+ miles
Offered in exchange & accepted: Volvo C70 Convertible w/ 30K+ miles
Agent says they've been winding down their fleet of Camaro soft-tops, and was surprised they could even find the one they did... this would be sad of true, as I was looking forward to a few more summer rentals in a topless Camaro SS or RS. Meanwhile, the lot is overrun with Mustangs of all sorts. Yes, I'd rather take a high-mileage C70 than a brand-new Mustang (or Chrysler 200).
Gotta say, I was tempted to grab one of the new Yukon XLs they were prepping for service. They were just coming out one after another.

I had a Yukon XL from ATL a few weeks ago. It had a lot of options (leather, heated seats, rear DVD, etc.. no sunroof) and was nice to drive. However, the dash is ancient in them. Still the old soft green that Chevy was using >10 years ago. They really need to clean it up if they want to stay competitive in the huge SUV market (Expedition, Sequoia, Armada).

Booked Mini
Received Opel Minerva
You can't get a small car at AMS for love or money. They always "upgrade" me to an ugly large car.

Requested: Said, "surprise me, but prefer not to have an XTS"
Offered: Hyundai Equus with no Nav
Received: XTS with Nav and XM
Last time I had an XTS the XM only worked the first day, so hopefully it will be different today. I still don't love this car, but I really wanted installed GPS.
While walking to the Avis location I did see that Hertz had a Merc SLS AMG in their upgrade area ($1,500 per day).
