I got a Ford Thunderbird this week. This car is sweet! 280 hp, leather seat and everything. The trunk space, however, is ridiculously small.

yes they share similar fleets, and that is why. Cars from the US often end up in Canada and vice versa. there are hundreds of shuttlers who get big money driving cars back and forth to get them back to their normal area. (new york is most common area for this).
off the continent, this isnt possible so the fleets are different. The Impala is the biggest trunk. The buick century is the biggest cab. The taurus and sables are similar and kinda tweeners from those sizes.

In both the US & Canada an Impala is standard full-size fare at both Avis/Budget & National/Alamo and the Ford Taurus is standard at Hertz. Comparing the Impala, the Malibu, & the Taurus, the Impala is the largest of the three, in length, width, height, wheelbase, head room, leg room, shoulder room and hip room. I have yet to drive the 2006 Impala. I've seen pictures though were the design is very different including the departure of the rounded rear lights. |
I had an Impala at DFW this past weekend. I am a preferred Select member too. I think I got the lowest possible version of an Impala. I am surprised it had a radio. And it smelled.

It doesn't sound like it was brand new 2005 then, does it?
