Avis really does suck....
 

My second and final attempt last week to rent from Avis in a (failed) attempt to save a few bucks as Hertz is always a few dollars.

The results: Overcharged by $50 on basic rate alone from printed internet reservation confirmation

No "express" type service (had to check in inside to "run credit card" which is always kept current)

Finally no XM radio as printed on above confirmation in luxury rental ("oh Town Cars, although stated, don't actually have XM").

This company is a F'ing joke! Now I know why I have been paying an extra couple of bucks per day to Hertz. AVIS YOU BLOW.

unfortunately, i regularly feel the same way.

they are doing YOU a favor by renting you a car in manhattan. i have never been upgraded once since i became a preferred select member in NYC. lousy attitudes.

other areas of the country are fine. unfortunately, i regularly rent from NYC metro.

I rented in RSW and LAS, all done with these clowns.

Funny thing - you can ask for NO TOWN CARS EVER - placed on your profile....The one thing that drives me up the wall more than getting a town car....is a WHITE town car.
