Avis Preferred at Heathrow
 

What is the set up for Avis at Heathrow (T5) Is there a shuttle or do you have to take the paid Hoppa buses? Is there a Preferred set up so one can bypass the counter and just go to the car directly?

There is a dedicated shuttle from T5 to the station. It is from bus stop 25. The ride is about 10 minutes and they run pretty frequently. There is a Preferred setup there, but you need to go to the Preferred counter. There is not usually much of a queue there, and the staff are very helpful. They have always been willing to offer me an alternative car if I didn't like the one they reserved for me (President's Club).
