Chances of PC upgrade?

Hi all, I’m Presidents Club by virtue of my World Elite MasterCard, haven’t rented in the US since early 2020 due to the plague.

Just wondering on the chance of the stated airport upgrade? It’s a one way from SAF-FLG. I’ve booked Intermediate SUV, which I’m usually happy with as long as it’s not a Dodge Journey (again), is the one way likely to limit my chances? Could ideally do with 4WD which I find is more likely with next level up Group W.

Typically, upgrades only apply to cars and not SUVs or other types of vehicles. If you book an intermediate or higher car, you'll be eligible for a double upgrade based on availability with a maximum upgrade to a premium car.

All of that said, that's what you're technically eligible for based on the published program rules. Many folks over the years have been upgraded to nicer vehicles. Of course, many others have gotten meh upgrades or gotten stiffed completely.

It really depends on how you hit it, the staff member who takes care of you, the location, what vehicles they have available when you arrive, and the position of the sun and the moon. In short, YMMW (significantly).

Well, it’s been over two years so I’ll need to go to the desk with my latest credit card. Can always turn up the Britcharm to 12!
