Avis PC question munich
 

Hi,
Does anybody have experience renting at munich as a new PC member with no card?
I'm new to PC and the Avis website doesn't allow me to print one (constant error)
Also, does anybody have experience with upgrades at MUC?
I have reserved a class D (Octavia or similar) and want to know what to expect.

Printed cards aren't really a thing anymore. Your status is denoted in the computer system. A physical card is unnecessary.

Note that currently there's no priority handling at the avis parking lot in munich, you have to go to the main desk in the terminal's central area..

Do you know if there is a preferred line in the main desk?

I don't think PC gets you anything. Can'y anyone just sign up for that? I suspect no upgrade and expect to wait in line at the central terminal, which is always a zoo in the summer. Sorry.

PC = President's Club which is an invitation only status with Avis, it actually gives you 2 class upgrades when there is availability.

My mistake. I think I confused it with Preferred or Preferred Plus...whichever one you get free with just about every credit card.

All good man, preferred is the free for all and preferred plus (PP) is the one you can get with some cards

in the past there was... even if it sometimes not really enforced, what I find very annoying...
last time I took a car (two weeks ago) there was no queue at all, no one waiting, so no issues at all..

but this might have changed now that US-americans are flooding Europe ;-)
