Which class is Impala and Passat in?

Picked up JFK using app whiled reserved Full Size. App offered the two vehicles above for an upgrade. Shouldn’t these two vehicles be complimentary upgrades for Preferred Plus?

Impala is a premium. Passat hasn't been reported in a while, but I thought it's now premium as well. The app is horrible for free upgrades. As a CHM, I can book premium, be assigned lux or specialty, but it still wants to charge me $45/day for an intermediate SUV or over $75 for another lux car.

I suspect Passat is also premium as the upgrade charge was same as Impala.

Be careful with those Impalas, Avis and Budget still have some of the awful last-gen models floating around in their fleet. Chevy kept making them for company fleets so it may be a 2016/2017 but it's one of the awful old models. I've seen them at a couple locations this year.

How recent was your last sighting of an Impala Limited? Production ended in May '16.
