AVIS UPGRADE COUPONS?

Anyone have any ideas where i can obtain an upgrade coupon for avis that i can show at the rental counter? I have the ent book coupon but i think they may change the rate as i am using a different awd.

I have an upgrade coupon you can have.
Must rent an Intermediate through Premium car, and must stay over a Sat. night. Expires 12/31/03
E-mail me if you want it.

Perhaps other have had a different experience but I consider one of the pluses of renting from AVIS is that the coupon does not need to match the AWD in order to use it. I used the old ASAP AWD and ENT book coupons (upgrade/free weekend) together all the time and the AWD # was not changed to the ENT AWD ever.

This is not the case with Hertz. Coupons # and CDP must be compatible (if the coupon states that a specific CDP must be used) It won't even let you make the reservation if they don't match.

A note on the upgrade: A Britsh Airways Silver or Gold Card grants an automatic upgrade upon availability.
