Free day with UA booking does tell it straight

Pop up on UA site gives clear instrustions and advises you will be given information on the free day after purchasing: Purchase screen advises yoou have a free day but then in rules it (States not available in NY tri state area); UA was nice enough to allow mer to cancel but WOW not a nice deal

Huh? When you click through to the ad there is a "Terms & Conditions" link in 10-point type at the bottom of screen. There are always T&C's attahced to any promotion.

For future reference though, I have yet to find a promotion or coupon or anything Avis-related that was applicable in the New York Tri-State Area. I'm sure FCTSTY will be by shortly to affirm this belief.
