Problems Making Reservations
 

I tried to making some reservations but when I click on the nice Avis site it goes to a blank page. Using IE 5.01 128 bit with Win 98. Finally went to Dollar and booked there easily. Anybody else having problems with Avis?

It works for me with Win 95 and IE 5.01

I had the same problem. Blank page with MS IE 5.1, also with Netscape 4.72.
Upgraded MS 5.5 - still blank page.
My problem was the following: I use a 'firewall' Norton Internet Security. That causes the problem with Avis. I 'enabled' the Internet Security and Avis's reservation worked fine.

Many thanks. That was exactly the problem, ie using the program @Guard as a firewall prevented the Avis site (and a few others) from downloading. I disabled it, avis.com downloaded quickly, and I checked their prices. I then quickly enabled the nice @Guard program to prevent any annoying ads from appearing on my nice screen.
