Class of Car Run Around
I was at the Avis counter at the Orlando Airport on Friday to get my car. The clerk says they don't have the mid-size car that I requested. Instead, she offers me a compact and a free tank of gas. What's up with that? I was renting the car for 5 days. The difference in classes is $10/day. A tank of gas is about $15.
I complain rather loudly and she keeps offering me one higher class until we settle on a brand new blazer. I have always had good luck with Avis so I was alittle surprised at the clerks attempt to screw me out of a few dollars. By the way, my company does a lot of business with Avis. They are our preferred car agency and we have about 20,000 consultants who use them quite regularly. |
$15 tank of gas?
Was this a lawn mower? :p Otherwise - how is a tank of gas $15? I'd think it would be close to $40 for a small car - mine is usually closer to $55.

Did you look at the date on that post?
How did you even come across it? |
Haha - sorry about that. I didn't notice the date. I must have searched and it brought it back from the past - when gas was cheap! :)
