Assigned: Volvo XC70 (station wagon)
Received: Hyundai Genesis

I got the email before taking off about my upgrade. When we arrived I asked at the desk for anything else. They mentioned that my profile stated that I preferred to have Volvo cars. They said that they were discussing that before I got there because they haven't actually seen anyone specifically request a Volvo, lol. Well, I never made that request so that was odd.

Requested an Infiniti... none available. Requested a BMW... offered as an upgrade for $100 per day for a 328xi. I said that my last 5 rentals have been upgraded to X5s or 5 series and got the standard response of "we get in a lot of trouble if we give these cars away, even to Chairman".

Desk agent was very nice and pulled up a nice selection of cars to pick from. Took the Hyundai and am pretty happy with it.

Now, to send an email off to the Chairman desk to see about this profile that says I like Volvos.... lol

Hah, $100 for a 328 but a Genesis is free? That's crazy logic!

Also, can you PM me the address you have for the CHM desk? I didn't know one existed!

Asked for a XTS since there was no X5, but it was on hold for a Chairman. Took a Suburban instead.

I'd be curious if the CHM actually took the XTS or not, considering several on here have said we despise the XTS by now!

Yeah me too. SLC only seems to have several XTS or a few X5's. There are no foreign brands except the Passat. There also never seems to be any Premiums...only saw 1 300 and 1 Impala LTZ over the past weeks.

2016. 800 miles on the odo. This is officially the nicest car I've ever gotten as a rental. This was the 3.6 with the Performance package. Heads up display, real carbon fiber and suede accents, magnetic suspension, 360 camera, adaptive cruise control with lane keeping, a few other options I forgot. This was so well optioned I'm really confused as to why Avis got it, seems to break the mold. This was a much nicer vehicle than the BMW upgrades I've been spoiled by.

Nice car overall, but now I finally understand why everyone complains about the COMAND system.
