Not impressed so far
I've been a longtime National program member. Started a new job where Avis is the preferred (pun intended) provider. So far I'm very dissatisfied with service. Rentals in DTW and ORD last week. Filled up the tank in both situations prior to return. Bring cars in FULL and the check-in person asks if I put gas in. Umm.. "yes.. that's why they are full". Get my receipt and run to shuttle bus. Checking receipt on bus during both occasions and I see FUEL CHARGE $xx.xx. Grrr.. call Customer Service .. and am asked whether I filled up.. YES, and where (really?) and if I have a receipt they want the receipt number?! If I bring the car in FULL .. doesn't it indicate I filled it up.
Website bugs. Not sure if it is because of Chrome browser .. but getting timeouts, password not recognized, changed password not recognized <end of rant> |
I believe that if you drive less than 75 miles on the rental that you need to provide a receipt to verify fuel purchase.

It's been noted quite frequently (and in the rental agreement, posted in locations and on Avis's site, and often on the rental contract printed by the location for you) that you must fill the gas AND present a receipt if driving <75 miles.
https://www.avis.com/car-rental/cont...g-US_en-029998 http://redirect.avis.com/services/fso/ Sure, they should ask for the receipt, but they don't. I've used Chrome for a few years without issues on Avis' site. Are you using the .com or another Avis site? |
