2015 Partner Promotions
Happy New Year everyone!! It's that time of year (thanks for the nudge bkafrick). I've copied/pasted any still valid into the wiki to get us going.

After several days of being expired, the AA MUAA070 (1500, 3+) promo page now has been udpated to say that it's through the end of 2015. So I added it back to the Wiki.

I'm picking up tonight for a 3 day rental
I'm using the AA coupon MUHA021 - 8250 Bonus Points/Paperless Coupon (this is how it shows on my reservation) however I don't see this in the wiki, is this still valid. I hate to waste my 3 day rental on this coupon if it isn't going to work I'll go with the club carlson 9K points if the AA one above isn't working. has anyone used this with success this year or been denied the bonus points with AA |
MUHA021 is not an AA coupon. It's a Carlson one.

I hate to waste my 3 day rental on this coupon if it isn't going to work I'll go with the club carlson 9K points if the AA one above isn't working. And then you mention Club Carlson 9k points later in the post. Somehow you got AA and Club Carlson coupons confused. And you obviously can't earn any bonus if you use a Club Carlson coupon but choose to earn AA miles. Btw, AA uses "miles", not "points", and that should have been another clue right away that you had a coupon which was not for AA. Avis doesn't check whether your coupon matches your earning preference, unless you look down to the line which estimates the total partner miles/points earned. If that total includes the coupon, presumably it'll work. If that total doesn't the coupon, it almost certainly won't work, even if up above that it says what the coupon is and that it's accepted. So, for example, on an upcoming rental where I used MUAA070, it says on the right in about the middle that the coupon gives 1500 bonus miles, and then on my 4 day rental (where normal earning would be 200 miles), on the right at the bottom is says my estimated total miles earned is 1700, so that clearly includes the coupon. |

All, I've moved the other discussions to a new thread. Please keep this one for just Partner Promotions so it doesn't get diluted. Not that the other discussions aren't valid and necessary, they just belong in their own thread. Happy Posting, IAHtraveler |

Hmmm...always a new wrinkle
I just made an Avis res using the coupon only, just the "K" code already on the 1500 mile AAdvantage coupon as the AWD. (ie, NOT my company's AWD code.)
Surprisingly, I didn't get the usual "estimated miles" entry that has always popped up, and that may or may not be worth much this year depending on your situation I guess. Has anyone else had this happen? I wonder if this is some sort of adjustment since they've been giving estimated miles but not actually conferring them, or if it is an indicator that even the AWD on the coupon will work. Anyone received the 1500 mile AA bonus (MUAA070) using the info on the coupon in 2015? Sorry to be so single-centered but I've had a lot of problems and this is after all the reason for being here. Is this at an airport location within the US? If not, did you check that it's a qualifying location? Does the reservation say "coupon accepted" or "coupon declined" (that's separate from the estimate and higher up on the right)? And, of course, did you remember to enter your AA FFP#? It can't do the coupon without that too, but that's entered at a separate later step. |
Let me add Aeroplan
"Between January 1 and April 30, 2015, Aeroplan members can earn up to 1,500 Aeroplan Miles on rentals of 3+ days during the week or 2+ days on the weekend.* Here's how: 1,500 Aeroplan Miles (airport) = 1,000 bonus miles + 500 base miles 750 Aeroplan Miles (off-airport) = 500 bonus miles + 250 base miles Valid on Intermediate (Group C) and above vehicles at participating Avis locations in Canada and the U.S. Use AWD # C682373 along with your Aeroplan number at the time of reservation or at the rental counter to earn your Aeroplan Miles." I made a reservation in early January for a late January 4-day rental at BNA, it said I would earn 1700 miles on the estimate, and the receipt I got upon return of the car said I had earned 1700 miles. I'm still waiting it for it show up at AA, but it's always been normal for it to sometimes take several weeks after the rental to show up at AA.
EDITED Thu 5 Feb to add: Now it shows normally, as Avis earnings, on aa.com, no longer just as "Transaction Posted". |
Is the Alaska offer "Alaska: 850+50/day miles, 3+days, 2/28/15: MUAA047" valid on rentals commencing on or before 2/28/15 or does the rental have to be completed by then?
I put the code into a rental starting 2/28 through 3/3 and it accepts it and says "MUAA047 - 850 Bonus Miles/Paperless Coupon" but I want to make sure I'll actually receive the miles upon return on 3/3 |
