Avianca's FF program is fairly worthless
Two months later, and I have yet to receive credit for any of my Avianca flights. That's with my FF number inserted on my reservation record and boarding passes.
Since them I've been told I have to fax my BPs and tickets. I can do the BPs, but a snarling gate agent took all other ticketing information. Sigh. Why can't Avianca have a decent website, phone help, or program? They act as if E-Ticketing is still years away from happening. |
Since you appear to be a Skymiles member, why don't you credit your Avianca flights there instead? That is, unless you're flying Avianca enough that status with them would make a difference.
I have a friend who is based in the UK but regularly ends up on Avianca flights, mostly domestic, and he has had very little problem crediting AV flights to Flying Blue, without having to follow up. I'd imagine it'd be similar with Skymiles. |
I hope it's not too late to help.
I too had trouble a few years ago crediting my flights. I did it online and and the miles instantly appeared in the account. After logging into Avianca Plus, click on "acumule o utilice sus Millas" > directly under it, click on Nombre en Ingles. Here, for each segment you flew, you would choose the origin and desination, date, airline (Avianca or Sam), if you have your ticket number (yes or no). If you have the ticket number, enter it in the next field. If you choose no, enter the flight number and your seat number (number and then letter). I don't have any to try to make sure it still works, but like I said, it worked immediately a few years ago. Good luck! |
