Premium Seating

I’m flying from MEX-SAL on an A-320 and got an offer to bid for a premium seat…basically it looks like the bidding is between 35-42 dollars…or I could spend 45 and get a premium seat. Do people think the premium seat is worth it on a short (2 hour) flight.

a320 is probably the recliner, plus 2 hours I am sure they are not on Asian carrier level that can serve proper hot meal... I wouldn't do it unless you value the recliner spacing.

It’s a 2-2 configuration. It’s just a better seat. No better service or curtain etc. you will get no food no water and no service. I mean if you prefer a better seat for a few hours then go for it. Otherwise I wouldn’t bother

SeatGuru claims that the three rows of Premium seats on an Avianca A320 are Business Class.

Anyway, I bid on Premium as an upgrade, and got them for GRU-BOG and BOG-CUN, hopefully will make these flights easier to endure.

I’d say it’s worth it for those sectors. The newer A320s are insanely high density and upto 60$ for the premium is worth it - they are however only bigger seats at the front or a blocked middle on others. Seatguru info must be old as they’ve phased out business class on Intra South American narrowbodies.

I flew an A320neo LAX-GUA in a "Premium" seat in February. I really liked it! IMO, the seat is much better than "Intra-Europe" seats, and I prefer it to traditional narrowbody domestic F seats. The seat flares out A LOT. I am 5' 8" and was able to sit cross-legged in the seat (and before you ask, no not barefoot). Can't even do that in most lie-flat business seats! Not saying I prefer it to a lie-flat -- just that it's that wide.

The center console has the power adapters -- which was great for the laptop and phone charging -- vs. the traditional spot below the seat where they always fall out.

Downside: ZERO service. Just a wider seat.

How do you book them
The fare class only goes to plus seats on the flights I have looked at
Does this mean they are not available on all flights?

Update edit

I see you get the option to select after booking a flex fare
