does avianca basic travel ticket allow us to select seats at airport? middle seat?
I noticed the avianca basic travel ticket says on the website "NO check-in at airport" and "NO economy seat".
What does this mean? Do we have to check-in on the app or print the boarding pass before arriving to airport?
And how do we get a seat? What does no economy seat mean? Is window or aisle seat possible and can a family sit together if they are traveling on basic tickets?

It means that you need to check-in (online or app) before arriving at the airport. No need to print a BP (the check-in agents will do it, unless you have BP on your cell phone). Last year I turned up at the airport for a domestic flight in Colombia without checking in first online, and the staff made my checkin using my cell phone before being prepared to take my bag and give me a BP.
The system will assign seat(s) for you. No possibility to select or change online/in the app afterwards. You can ask at the check-in counters; it may work or not work. You will be seated together because you are in the same reservation. If separate reservations you will most likely not be seated together and you have to ask the check-in counters or at the gate.
