For a C1-C3, instead of a simple FRA-MUC or MUC-FRA connection, the system routes through extra segments: Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf , ... etc

LH F out of FRA blocked?
Hello All,
I'm wondering if anyone knows what is going on with the Lifemiles search engine not showing any first class award spaces on Lufthansa out of Frankfurt? On the United Mileage award search engine, I can clearly see F-class award seats available from Frankfurt to many locations in Asia, the U.S.A etc. Is this a glitch on the Lifemiles site or is it just blocked by Avianca or Lufthansa? Thanks. |
Looks like Lifemiles blocks LH... but nobody knows exactely who blocks which one or not...

Lifemiles blocks LH F. There is a pattern... leading up to and during sale of miles they don't block and then when the sale is over they block.

At the least, LH F availability seems to be significantly down compared to pre-website maintenance. The website "glitch" is persisting where F routes show up as J pricing. Intentional on Avianca's part? I've tried and tried but I can't seem to find the Mixed Cabin awards with F priced as J anymore. |

Nothing has changed as a result of the ongoing sale and one that just ended. It is VERY slim pickings. They're definitely purposefully blocking the vast majority of *A available (saver) LH F. I just don't understand how they're allowed to get away with blocking *A award availability so arbitrarily. It doesn't even seem fair.

And I agree that it doesn't seem fair. There is a fair bit of availability on United Mileage. |
I can see LH F and J award seats on the CPT/MUC route on the UA, AC and NH web sites - but zilch on Lifemiles. :(
I've definitely seen F award seats on this route in the past. Another casualty of ongoing "enhancements"? |
