New LM credit card coming to U.S.

Email received today. I started a new thread because this doesn't pertain to US Bank anymore.

Possible 60k credit card coming soon?

I hope it doesn't portend another devaluation.

They haven't released which bank yet. Personally I bet Barclay or maybe AmEx, but that's pure speculation.

Not sure how many folks follow DoC, but they posted this week on it. You can sign up for info for the card here http://lifemilescard.com/

https://www.lifemilescreditcard.com/...t/avianca.aspx

Cards are issued by Banco Popular in Puerto Rico, no minimum spend and $149 annual fee (not waived for first year) 60k Lifemiles with promo code and no minimum spend!

Couldn’t get the application to work, as it doesn’t list DC, or “Washington, DC” as a state. Called the toll-free number at the bottom of the page ad was told that the application isn’t “live” until 11/28

signed up last night and was approved fairly immediately. This Puerto Rican bank that they are using is unfamiliar to me though which gave me some pause.

Interesting, tried the link just now and the page pulls up, but no application. Instead, it says:

"Thank you for connecting with us. The Avianca Credit Card program’s official launch is Monday November 28th. Please check back with us on that date."

I would say "YES", as well!

In the past, I've used about 57K Lifemiles for a hotel suite in Chicago, + a SEA to Costa Rica one-way ticket for a friend of mine. Def worth it!

I actually just called about the application not listing DC, and they said they are having some technical problems with the application. They took my name and number and said they would call when the application is fixed.

Same here! I also mentioned to them that Maryland wasn't listed.
