I cancelled my card using the number on the back of the card today. The cancellation process was quite quick. No retention offer, but I was off the phone in less than 3 minutes at least.

Is the 20,000 additional with the code still in effect.

I have tried 3 browsers looking in the "Financial Information"section for the box to put the code in and can't find the box.

Anyone recently found where to put the code?

same here - i had applied for this card back in Sep and the interface now looks different. I don't see an area to put in the promotion code anymore. The extra 20k might not be available anymore

Has anyone been able to churn this card? The signup, bonus attainment, and cancellation were all quite straightforward in my experience.

Two questions,
  1. Did they claw back any of your miles if you had unused miles?
  2. Did they refund your annual fee?

I cancelled a few days before the AF renewal.

Hi Mountain Trader, Do you or anyone have data points on successfully obtaining a 2nd bonus?

Is it confirmed that the extra 20K is dead?

With the new lifemiles exp policy. Does anyone know, :
so do miles earned with the card extend the life of the miles in total 24 months or must you keep the card to keep the miles from expiring and get the 24 month expiration exemption ?
Otherwise its 12 months from last miles earned even with the cc?.
thanks

I haven’t tried, nor have I read of anyone who has. While my xoerience with the Banco Poplar card went well, many others’ did not.

$3000k, so $3,000,000? that is a lot grocery purchase!

Did you ever receive the Lifemiles for the gift card purchases?

It is interesting how there are no successful DPs on churning this card. My guess is that nobody has had success in obtaining a 2nd card yet.

We do know a couple things about churning:
1) Only allowed 1 Lifemiles card open at the same time
2) There exists an undetermined wait period before applying again for this card

I applied for a second card 5-6 months ago (about a month after closing my first account). Instant denial
