US Bank LifeMiles 40K Bonus... 120 days to post?
 

Got the 40K bonus signup and did the spend in the first two days. The first 20K posted, but upon statement close, the other 20K of the bonus hadn't yet posted. Gave them a ring and was told by two separate CSRs that the second bonus of 20K posts after 120 days. (The minimum spend was supposed to be done within 120 days.) I had to pick up my jaw from the floor.

Can anyone else confirm this or should I keep pressing? Was hoping to get to Asia with these miles, but in 120 days, I'm not too sure that will still be possible.

They told me the same thing. It is garbage, but it also doesn't particularly matter. You can't book anything except Avianca awards right now anyway.

Now the 20K posted immediately. Then another 10K posted. I'm still waiting on 10K, which they say the airline has to post instead of the bank. Has anyone else heard this craziness?

Same thing happened to me. I got the card in April, did the spend, got the first 20K with statement close and then only saw the first 10K of bonus. Please update this thread with any additional info on if/when you get the other 10K. :(

The US Bank agents don't know LANPASS from LifeMiles from Coke Rewards...

My acct is in the same situation. Got 20k, got 10k more awarded after spend. I called US Bank today. They said it would be probably two more billing cycles for the final 10k to post. They also said the first 30k comes from USBank, the last 10k comes from Lifemiles themselves as a bonus. According to the CSR, that's what the sign-up term say/said. But my screen shot of the sign up page just says, 20k after first spend, then 20k more after $3000. I don't think there really was such fine print (20+10+10) in the original sign up, but they're saying there was. In any case, right on my CC statement it says, "Lifemiles 40000 offer", so they know they owe it to me.

Same situation. Has anyone fully received the remaining 10k?

same boat as you all...I got the first 20k after the first billing cycle. I met my spending req a couple weeks before the third billing cycle ended and I got no 20K. I called and the agent said that I'd get the next 20k after the next cycle. Cycle closed last week and still nothing. Called again and agent said that miles should post after the next cycle closes later this month. He said something about a full 120 days should pass and then then miles will post. NO IDEA what that means :(

1st 20 easy peasy.

Next 10+10 sometime in the next millennium but no earlier than the 120 days. 10 from USBank and 10 from LifeMiles.

ARE YOU MISSING 10K BONUS LIFE MILES?
On a side note, some readers have noticed that 10k was missing from the 40k Avianca signup bonus from US Bank.

The first 20k should be credited after the first purchase is made – I received those without any problem
The second set of 20k bonus miles should be credited after $3,000 spend within 120 days…BUT people have noticed that only 10k was credited on the statement where the $3,000 spend was met (instead of 20k), for a total of 30k bonus miles (of course we were expecting 40k not 30k!)
Since I had also signed up for the 40k Avianca signup bonus from US Bank, I wanted to share my experience through a timeline of events:

5/17/14 – Email sent to Avianca LifeMiles through this link

5/19/14 – Initial response:
“Good morning and thank you for contacting U.S. Bancorp Service Center, Inc. via our Website. We understand you are inquiring about your rewards and we are certainly happy to review this further. Our records indicate 10,000 bonus rewards were added on your May statement. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause; however, the remaining 10,000 bonus rewards will be awarded by LifeMiles directly in six to eight weeks. For further information regarding this matter, we continue to recommend contacting LifeMiles directly at 800-400-8222.” I was hoping they wouldn’t make me work for these last 10k miles.

6/18/14 – Second response after my follow-up:
We understand that you are inquiring about the status of additional 10,000 LifeMiles being awarded to your account. To better assist you we will need to research your inquiry further and will contact you as soon as more information is available. We are making every effort to resolve this matter quickly. Please contact us if you have any further questions.

6/19/14 – Third response after 2nd follow-up:
After further researching this matter with our Rewards Department, they have advised that the additional 10,000 LifeMiles will be awarded to your account with LifeMiles within the next ten business days.

6/27/14 – The missing 10k miles finally credited to my Avianca LifeMiles account.


If you are missing 10k bonus miles, you can sit tight and wait the 6-8 weeks. I recommend sending an email through this link to confirm that you will be receiving the missing 10k bonus miles. It appears that the US Bank / Avianca LifeMiles agreement was set where 30k would be credited by US Bank and 10k would be credited by Avianca LifeMiles directly.
