Can someone help me understand Lifemile?

He says

"Outright buying miles means Lufthansa First Class for under $800, and TPAC and TATL business class flights for under $400, which is pretty incredible."

But from the chart round trip from NA to Europe requires 145,000 miles. If you have to pay $150 for 10,000 miles then how could he get that many miles for $800?

Or did I read it wrong?

I suggest you read the LM trick thread. There are ways to get tickets for less miles than on the chart.

If you don't know anything about this, you might be too late to the party

First of all, that's ~$800 for one-way not a round trip. Secondly yes, it is actually quite easy if you know what to do ... btw, on some routes, LH shows availability in FC for 2-3 months in advance, i.e. well over the usual 2 weeks

I know You are Hungry For Miles (OP's name) but it is best to go to lifemiles.com there you will be fed.

OP, you probably shouldnt worry. Some bloggers are full of it, by blogging details that with their exposure are quickly killed. Following up with spamming FT to push their signature lines.

You could probably get the help from the tons of helpful FTers around, for instance by PM. I wouldnt support bloggers leeching on the communty, and killing their deals. Just my 2 cents.
