Avianca/Taca Lifemiles may be Best Program in Star
#1336
I just purchased a ticket with a telephone agent earlier today. I was charged about $150 fee because I had to purchase the ticket over the phone. I am really curious to see what other tricks they are going to use besides increasing the amount of miles for redemption which has already happened.
Besides, they seem not to want to change their cash-for-miles mode which they might consider as the most attracting feature of the program to FFS.

Why did you use the phone agents, though? I was under the impression that they couldn't really see what the website wasn't already showing - they certainly can't do stopovers, open jaws or mixed booking classes, which would be the only valuable use of the $150 to me...

Has anybody been able to get C1-C6 in C for 55K? I can get the Y seats for 35K all day long, but I can't get business.

For the $150 fee, I called TACA because the website did not allow me to check out even if there is availability and I needed the ticket urgently.
For some valid itineraries, such as overnight connection, the lifemiles website dose show them.

I tried ringing one through and it seems that the person was also using the website only to make a booking. I gave her flight by flight and she said that she needed to enter the return journey under he multi-city option. Kind of like how it is on the website.
Weird as its a straightforward one way flight with change.

anyone noticed this t&c from the new 2x1 offer ?
can someone clarify for me, does this mean if i purchase the miles this time round I cannot top them up with the miles + money option or am I misinterpreting it?

i thought that means that the extra miles used in the miles+money option were not similarly 2-4-1 (so you pay the same price for those top-up miles as you have paid previously)?
