Some changes for SQ since last month:
M,H,W : 100% → 75%

That's a shame. I was planning a mileage run on SQ later this year...

Yeah, usually the fare difference between a non-earning fare and a 100% earning fare on SQ is not that steep so this is bad news although 75% still isn't too bad..

It seems that Business Class (P) at Lufthansa earns zero miles... could that be indeed true?

I'm flying WAW-YVR with LH in the summer in the P class and am wondering whether not to credit these miles somewhere else... note that the ticket was issued by AC (which earns 100% miles for P), but I'm actually flying LH...

Thanks for help and clarification!

Yes - 0 miles for LH P. Generally speaking OZ earnings are very poor on LH flights, but no miles for business class is ridiculous.

Indeed - ridiculous. Do you know if it's the airline you are travelling with that is crediting the miles (in my case LH), or maybe the ticket issuing airline (in my case AC)?

For *A, the only thing that matters is operating carrier (in this case LH).

Keep in mind for next time, LH P is a notoriously known J fare that doesn't earn miles in many *A programs.

Check wheretocredit.com for detailed earnings of each *A ffp for it.

I had a feeling this one was coming.

Sorry for the newbie question, but I've been struggling to find the answer on my searches. Does Asiana have identical earnings table for both qualifying and award miles? Does this also apply to partners?

Yes and yes, except for Qatar and Air Astana. Because they are not in *A, they earn only award miles.

Appreciate this. Is this scenario typical for most mileage programs of non-US carriers (TK, A3, etc.)? I often find only one earnings table on non-US airlines websites so wonder if it's safe to assume so (rather than to try finding a separate qualifying table that may or may not exist).

Yes, this is how it usually works with non US mileage programs, because most of them are still distance based for both award and qualifying miles. In the US, award miles are based on $ spent while qualifying miles are based on distance, thus the discrepancy.

There is one other exception, domestic Basic Economy fares on United (which book into N class) only earn redeemable miles and no miles for qualification.

Except they do. The chart is wrong. (I know from first hand experience)
