OZ moving to terminal 2 14 JAN (Incheon)
http://emailsend.flyasiana.com/3I-12...OXw2I-52026I-3
Dear Valued Customers, We would like to inform you that effective January 14, 2026 (Wednesday), all Asiana Airlines flights will operate from Terminal 2 at Incheon International Airport. Please note that departure and arrival terminals may vary depending on your flight. We kindly ask you to check the latest terminal information before your travel. |
will passengers be invited to use KE lounges at ICN T2 then?
|
We have Smartium Economy tickets for our ICN-LHR flights in early January which give access to the OZ Business Class Lounge in T1. I’d be nervous about that benefit still applying when travelling on/after the 14th Jan.
|
Does it mean that *A benefits will end on that day too? There is no *A lounge in T2 according to staralliance.com
|
I wonder if this is a preemptory indicator of Skyteam status (or at least, KE status)?
|
I just flew OZ yesterday out of ICN and I asked in the lounge about the lounge arrangement in January 2026 and the OZ staff said OZ elites and Star Gold passengers will be using the KE lounges in Terminal 2.
|
I’ve noticed no reduction in uptake of Smartium Economy seats from ICN to LHR on dates after the 14th January, I’m guessing that the benefit will remain (but wonder if there is a restriction on which KE lounge can be used)
|
Does everyone really think, you won't be able to use the KE lounge in Terminal 1 and you have to move to Terminal 2 for it...lol... Just use the KE lounge if you have access to it through status or your ticket

Whether lounges in T1 can or can’t be used is irrelevant here. |
Have you seen the new KE lounge in Terminal 2? It is a huge improvement from what they had before.

I wonder what they are going to do with such a big space. I would imagine moving OZ flights to T2 would also relieve some of the pressure on SQ's SilverKris lounge |
Or SilverKris lounge will bear the brunt of all Star Alliance member flights?
I think this is why I believe the Asiana lounge may still operate at T1 after Jan 14th. To handle SA passengers on non-Asiana flights. |
There’ll be a significant decrease in numbers of OZ pax using the lounge next years as, from Dec 11th 25, purchasing front row extra leg room seats no longer gains the passenger access to a lounge (for ex ICN flights to Europe/N America).
The cost of these seats has been reduced by about 20USD and those with top tier membership and economy passengers in the highest 3 fare codes (Y & 2 others) can now have these seats allocated for free. |
As of today, OZ lounge is still listed as operating on OZ website https://m.flyasiana.com/C/KR/EN/travel/airport/lounge - listed for "regular" Star Alliance passengers. Can anyone confirm it is still operating? At some point though, some one is going to have to fill the void

After Asiana Lounge East is shut down and Asiana Lounge Central is repurposed, regular *G passenger can access Star Alliance Lounge, formerly the Asiana Lounge West. |
