I wonder if anyone has done similiar, I am flying OZ FRA-ICN on a ticket in J, then on a seperate ticket in Y ICN-SYD. The transfer in ICN is just under 7 hours. Can I check in in FRA and not see my luggage until SYD (All same day OZ but seperate tickets)? If so my allowance for business is greater am I likely to be able to attach that to the SYD flight? I will likely have 2 pieces but may be over the economy 23kgs, I know I am allowed an extra piece due to status as I am Diamond +.

Not sure about starting from FRA or SYD. I've never had any issues with SFO, LAX, HND/NRT, MNL and OKA checking my bags through. I haven't had an issue with getting the extra piece allowance but haven't needed to use my D+ extra weight allowance yet
