Agent found no availability even though EF says available
I have been calling the Asiana hotline a number of times this past week as I'd like to book an award flight between KUL and TPE. The flight I'm interested in is BR228 on Nov 14 in Business class. Even though ExpertFlyer, aircanada.com, and flyasiana.com all say there's availability, the agents insisted that they did not see any...
This is not making any sense. What should I do now?

If you can see award availability on the Asiana website as you say, why don't you just book it from there? Why call in?
It seems that you're aware of the changing-regions trick for the OZ website to show and book *A awards, so why not go through with the booking online?!

Then go to Asiana Club -> Use Mileage -> Star Alliance/Partner Airlines
There's a red button near the top left of the page with "Star Allience [sic] Award Ticket Reservation". Click that and search for your flights

Change the region to "Korea". Language can be either Korean or English, depending on works for you.
