Asiana Transit Free Hotel

Hi

I`ve booked a flight from Sydney to London.
A few years ago I flew with them and had a stopover hotel allocated to us.
I can`t get hold of Asiana by telephone. I`ve e-mailed them
How do I take advantage of this. Its a month before I fly. Booking Class is M which I understand complies

Thank you

STPC was put on pause during covid, and i dont think theyve recommenced

try calling the Korean office, and opt for English.

May I ask which hotel you were offered? We are flying at the end of this week and got approved for STPC in ICN but we don't know where we will be staying, just told to go to Asiana desk to collect voucher. We flew with them a few years ago and stayed at the "June hotel" in Incheon as part as STPC. Then we got the Grand Hyatt near the airport another time flying with KE, that was pretty nice...

I appreciate the flight date of the OP is long gone. However, I'm currently in the process of arranging an STPC & this is the info I received, which may help others:

" As our HQ employs a couple of hotels, we do not know which hotel passengers will be stayed exactly.
As informed, you will be able to get the voucher at Incheon airport.
Although not guaranteed, the stopover hotel is likely to be one of the options below:
  • Howard Johnson by Wyndham Incheon Airport
  • Best Western Premier, Inchoen Airport Hotel "

the STPC has recommenced now.
Calling the Korean office doesn't work, I tried it. They were very polite and patient but wouldn't allow me to change my itinerary without a Korean credit card.
Good news is the Sydney office is reopening in early October. In the meantime, they do tend to respond to emails within a few days. My advice is to make sure you're clear on what you want on your initial email, so you don't have to keep playing the waiting game.

Update:
Reported to the Asiana desk IAW the directions supplied. After inspecting our boarding cards a very helpful chap rang the Howard Johnson hotel & arranged the room & pick-up by hotel shuttle bus. He then personally escorted us to the pick-up point & made sure all was well.

We were given a voucher for the hotel room, breakfast & return shuttle, with return time pre-arranged.

At check-in we were allocated a room (310) immediately, which was gratefully received. It was on the Reception floor, adjacent to the restaurant just after a sliding glass door (but we heard no noise). For some reason it was a disabled access room, but quite modern though compact.

Not a hotel or room I'd normally choose, but it did the job nicely (& the price was right!).

The hotel was 5 mins walk from the 'All stop' airport train at Uneco & took around 50 mins to Seoul station. We had a few hours thoroughly enjoying Seoul.

Well done Asiana.

I think KE might have an equity position in the Hyatt, which could explain why they use it for stopovers. The hotels OZ has given me aren't as nice or convenient, but they get the job done.
