Asiana Seats - Always Rock Hard? Plus, The Food??
#16
I'm still baffled at the fact that I receive food on short haul Y. It feels like that stopped in the the early-mid 2000s in the US. Out of all my flights between GMP-HND on OZ and NH, I think I've only eaten once. There's not much motivation to eat on the plane when I can eat in a lounge before, or just eat on the ground after.
I did get bumped up to NH J for SFO->HND, and the seat with the door is great, but I'd say the food is nothing to write home about either. I didn't eat any snacks though, since it was a redeye and I passed out.

I flew OZ NRT-ICN yesterday in business class (old first class) and got the bibimbap. The rice was genuinely rock hard and not edible, no matter how much sesame oil I added to it. Even my UA IAH-NRT route had much much better rice. As a Korean airline with catering from Japan, I thought Asiana had absolutely no excuse
