Also got a similar email for US flights to Korea.
Given the takeover is on hold, this isn't surprising. They need cash in hand ASAP, like pretty much every other airline in the world.

Seems like they changed it again to a 3 time date change waiver:
Buy Now, Fly Any Date

At this point, they might as well just cancel any change fees altogether.

There seems to be a slight difference between the USA site and the Korea one. 2x, any flight date = Korea; 3x w/ blackout dates = USA.

So if I were to buy a $900 LAX-ICN ticket now and change it to another day where the tickets sell for $1400, even though there is no change fees, do I have to pay an additional $500?

Yes, which doesn't make sense because they are offering a refund waiver too.
SightseeMC and Vyvd like this.

Yeah it wasn't making sense to me too. Once you have the refund waiver, the change waiver becomes meaningless if you have to pay the difference anyways.

Exactly. I had to reread that part because it made no sense. I've had no problems avoiding fare difference charges recently, and I'm sure if I said "I'll cancel for refund if you don't waive fare difference" they'd give it to me again.

depends on the change waiver rules

the rules say same booking class.

picking a random route/date, fare bucket V, change waiver rules on the ticket said
Free of charge up to third times (fare difference shall be collected separately)
$200 refund fee, not too bad

since it's V, $600 for upgrade standby each leg

of course there can be additional waivers outside of ticket, to waive fare difference. dont rely on this though
