Correct mileage for award ICN-FRA-LHR
Hello. I am trying to book a flight from ICN-LHR on September 1. Economy is full so I found a flight connecting in Frankfurt. Originally I was told by an award team member it would need to be placed as 2 separate flights with ICN-FRA being 35000 miles + 51.6 GBP and FRA-LHR being 15000 miles + 71.20 USD. They also offered me business class on a direct ICN-LHR for 65000 miles + 51.60 GBP.
I questioned why it was a separate ticket so the award team emailed me back and said I could have it for 40000 miles + 117.60 GBP.
I did my own calculations and shouldn't it be 35000 miles + 71.2 USD? The award team have stopped answering my emails. Can anybody tell me what the real price should be?
Thanks in advance

Korea is in Northeast Asia so to Europe on a *A award is 40 000 miles.
117 GBP looks right, looking on matrix for a paid OZ-LH ticket on the same route it attracts 165 USD in taxes and fees.

It's only 35k miles if you fly OZ. If any of your flights are on other *A airlines, it's 40k miles.
The offer of 40k for ICN-FRA-LHR is actually better than what it's meant to be and you should've taken it. It should technically price as: ICN-FRA on OZ - 35k miles + tax; FRA-LHR on *A - 15k miles + tax. Even if you're transitting through FRA, it's still 2 separate flights.

The offer is in line with policy, there should be no issue with this unless OP wishes to stay in FRA longer than 24hrs, or LH's married segments removes availability on the short haul sector.

huh? ICN-FRA-LHR can price as one ticket at 40k miles, OZ-*A connections count as a complete *A ticket.

Just checked the OZ site, and I stand corrected. Thanks THD.
