I'm flying LHR-ICN-FUK in J with BA then OZ. I know BA no longer checks bags thru on 2 separate PNRs but I remember when I had tw oseparate PNRS in 2014, BA did dheck me thru on the same route. However, the check in person made a hash of it at LHR and only checked them thru to ICN. I didn't know this so went through the transfer route at ICN. When I arrived at the lounge though they said they were going to retrieve my bags from the carousel and put them on my flight. I just enjoyed the lounge while this all happened.
My question is what is the likelihood that instead of going through customs and retrieving my bags, I head to the Asian lounge feign confusion and ask them to retrieve then transfer my bags across. It would save a lot of hassle!
