Why would the OZ FC fares jumped so much...

I bought 2 FC tickets LAX ICN in F, connecting to BKK in C.
$4302 each. Before the trip in early March, I checked and see if fares have changed or not. Nope, same $4302 on weekdays, a few hundreds higher on weekend.
Today, I checked, the BKK fares went to $8634, $8934 and $9359.
And the LAX ICN F fares went up to $10870, $11170 and $12254.
Thank god I did it, else I would not be able to afford these fares now.

When is the trip? If you checked right before, that's because all the good discounts go away as you get closer to departure.

I did buy the tickets months ago for travel Mar 4th

When I got home Mar 11th or so, I just checked for fun last nite to find those skyhigh fares. Whew, now I feel pretty good getting such a good deal.
And the flight was only 5/12.

I have noticed this many times with Asiana. I would check prices a few days, found a coach seat for $1100, then the next day it is gone and price now is over $2000. KE prices dont seem to vary as much as OZ.
