Too Old for Exit Row?

First time this has ever happened to me. My wife and I were on OZ 727 (ICN-HAN). I asked for an exit row on a fairly empty flight to be told "You are too old to sit in an exit row." I am only 70, and fairly healthy. While I usually fly U.S. flag carriers, this is unique for me. Have I become too old to fly exit row on OZ? Anybody else have this happen?

Many airlines have rules that exit row passengers must be physically capable of assisting in an emergency - thus no injured passengers, old, young, fat, frail looking, deaf or blind, etc.
