F awards - 2 seats ever open?

I have been watching LAX-ICN and see some F availability pop up from time to time. However never 2 seats. Has anyone seen 2 seats pop up on this route?

Thanks!

There's no OZ F class on that route.

yes, I've seen 2 or more seats opening up for the F cabin on the 744 for LAX-ICN.
It was probably back in 2012: I snatched an F seat using my miles and told a friend about it.
A few days later, he decided to join me and snatched another F seat on the same flight.

Same here. Booked in F for 2 on that route for July, although was booked back in Sept.

I've seen them release 3/4 seats before on that route. If you don't see anything then its most likely because someone already took the space. If you're booking very far in advance then maybe OZ hasn't released the space yet.

I've booked this route twice for two people in F... all about 6-8 months in advance...

Of course US messed up one booking but I was able to get onto the ICN-JFK flight so all is good...

They seem to be very good at releasing space when schedule opens, had wide selection of dates for next november when I was booking

Anyone see a lot of availability in F from any US Gateway? Trying to use some UA miles before the 1st

There are plenty of days with availability out of LAX next year, particularly December. Use the ANA tool

It is entirely possible that it's mostly claimed for at the moment with the UA de-valuation.

No idea whether it's likely that there are that many redemptions, but it is indeed possible that one or two seats are disappearing, causing no availability to show.

I redeemed 2 F seats in 2011 on this route.

They are sometimes available. My wife and I flew R/T in F on UA award miles LAX-ICN last May. We also managed to snag 2 seats on the same route for this coming April. As others have noted, old 747 layout but still OZ service. I guess there is no hope for any F suites on this route any time soon. Good luck!

After the devaluation was announced, I booked ICN-LAX in F for two in July. Hoping by some miracle, the 744 gets swapped out with an A380.

F awards - 2 seats ever open?

Gary Leff's Book Your Award service helped us burn UA miles for transpacific F including 2 F seats on OZ ICN-LAX for December 2014.

$150 per person plus taxes/fees.

Well worth the cost.
